Apparently today is video game day, though probably not video games as i remember them! Call them vintage or obsolete i loved my spectrum games and do in fact still have the console and a fair few games.A few attempts to get my two kids to play it have met with failure,it seems that the half hour loading time to a symphony of whirring & flashing lights was just too much for them.Happy days playing pacman,bak2skool,dizzy & rollarcoaster (copied from your mate on a duel cassette recorder) don't seem like that long ago however the new technology and graphics tell me otherwise!I mean really could you call it a joy stick these days? The nail in the spectrums coffin was when i took the kids to Sheffields western park museum and there it was, right in the middle of the exhibit marked toys from yesteryear.
